The Carpet Care Supply Group: Our company provides commercial carpet cleaning chemicals and equipment to carpet cleaners all over the United States. We process a fair amount of invoices each day and can't afford to have QuickBooks go down! Well we ran into a major problem upgrading QB Pro from version 2004 to 2007. I assumed that it would be a pretty simple upgrade since I install and update software all the time. Well an easy upgrade was not going to happen this time! I installed version 2007 on 2 of our 4 workstations and attempted to begin the update of our data files to 2007. That's when the sky fell. There were some data errors in our 2004 file, and QB 2007 would not accept the data. To make matters worse, it was the cut off day to upgrade to 2007, or else the vultures at QuickBooks would turn off our credit card services and our payroll services. I know, I know, I shouldn't have procrastinated to the 11th hour to do an upgrade. So here there I was at 6:30 PM and not able to work with our companies QuickBooks files. And worse yet, I knew that the following morning we would open for business without having a way to process credit cards or take sales. Yikes! Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place. That's when I discovered Quality Consulting and Billing. Here's a copy of the e-mail I sent out to Denise Magee, President of Quality Consulting and Billing..."I found you on the QuickBooks Advisor website. We've been using QB 2004 Pro. We are attempting to upgrade to 2007 Pro. But we are running into problems because there are problems with our data in our QB 2004 files. So right now we are in a state of chaos because 2 of our 4 computers are in a state of limbo between 2004 and 2007. I will need to see you in the morning (Thursday) if that is at all possible. And I think we will be needing some ongoing assistance too. We are in St Pete near downtown. I am hoping you can fit us in on such short notice. Thanks!" As you can imagine I was overjoyed to receive a response to my URGENT "after hours" request within an hour Long story short; by the afternoon we were back up and running with a clean copy of 2007 installed. Do you realize what that meant for us. (1) We were able to save our data from a corrupt file. That was important because I wasn't in the mood to lose a couple of years of data. (2) And we were able to get the problem resolved and get back to business less than a day from the time my urgent "after hours" call for help went out. The service I received was outstanding and I would highly recommend Quality Consulting and Billing to anyone who may need their service. They sure bailed us out!
